Austin and the team at Bayshore Nightscapes absolutely knocked it out of the park! We recently had landscape lighting installed around our home, including the front landscaping and driveway, and the results exceeded our expectations. Austin was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He really knows his stuff, has a great eye for detail, and helped bring our vision to life. The lighting completely transformed the look of our home at night. Everything looks clean, elegant, and professionally done without being overdone. You can tell Austin takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about making sure his customers are happy. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. If you’re considering landscape lighting in the Tampa Bay area, I highly recommend Austin and Bayshore Nightscapes. Five stars all around!
Outdoor lighting in Palma Ceia West
Palma Ceia West carries the character of its better-known neighbor with a bit more room to work. Homes range from well-kept mid-century ranches to substantial renovations and new construction, most on lots with established oaks and palms. That variety is an advantage in lighting design — the canopy gives every property a ready-made vertical element, and tree uplighting through those trees is usually the first thing we plan.
Around the canopy we layer architecture and circulation: grazing light on the facade, a clearly lit entry, garden lighting through the beds, and pathway lighting along walks and driveways. Backyards get outdoor living lighting for patios and pool decks. Everything is solid brass and copper on a single properly sized low-voltage transformer, zoned so the front runs dusk to dawn while the back comes on only when you want it.

Common questions
What is the difference between path lights and uplighting?
Path lights are functional — they mark walkways and steps. Uplighting is architectural, throwing light up into trees and across facades to create depth and drama. A complete system uses both, and skipping the uplighting is why many yards look flat at night.
How do you decide what to light?
We walk the property with you after dark and identify focal points — the best tree, the strongest architectural feature, the entry — then design outward from those. What we deliberately leave dark matters as much as what we light.
What is the typical investment?
Most Palma Ceia West systems run $3,500 to $9,000 depending on lot size and whether the backyard is included.
Can the system be controlled from my phone?
Yes. We can add app-based control with zone dimming and scheduling, or keep it simple with a photocell and astronomic timer that needs no attention at all.
