Austin and the team at Bayshore Nightscapes absolutely knocked it out of the park! We recently had landscape lighting installed around our home, including the front landscaping and driveway, and the results exceeded our expectations. Austin was fantastic to work with from start to finish. He really knows his stuff, has a great eye for detail, and helped bring our vision to life. The lighting completely transformed the look of our home at night. Everything looks clean, elegant, and professionally done without being overdone. You can tell Austin takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about making sure his customers are happy. Couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. If you’re considering landscape lighting in the Tampa Bay area, I highly recommend Austin and Bayshore Nightscapes. Five stars all around!
Outdoor lighting in Fair Oaks
Fair Oaks is a compact, well-located South Tampa neighborhood of bungalows, cottages, and mid-century homes, many of them thoughtfully updated over the last decade. The oaks the neighborhood is named for do most of the work here — they define the streetscape, and lighting them is the fastest way to give a property presence after dark. Setting tree uplighting at the base of a mature Fair Oaks live oak changes the whole front of the house.
Around that we build a complete but understated system: a warmly lit entry, grazing light across the front elevation, garden lighting in the beds, and pathway lighting along the walk and drive. Fixtures are solid brass and copper — the right call anywhere in South Tampa given the humidity — with sealed connectors and a 20-year warranty. Everything is aimed on site after dark, with you there, so the result matches what you actually want.

Common questions
Which trees light best in Fair Oaks?
Live oaks are the standout — the branching structure and Spanish moss catch light beautifully. Queen and royal palms also do well with tighter beams. Crape myrtles and magnolias work nicely as secondary accents.
How many fixtures does an average home need?
A typical Fair Oaks front yard uses 10 to 18 fixtures. The number matters less than placement — we would rather install twelve fixtures in the right spots than twenty in the wrong ones.
What is a typical Fair Oaks budget?
Most projects here run $2,500 to $6,000 for a full front-of-house system, with backyard and patio zones adding $1,500 to $4,000 depending on scope.
Do you offer financing or phasing?
We do not finance directly, but nearly every system can be phased. We install the transformer and main runs sized for the full design, then add zones as your budget allows.
