Lighting for a Changing Rattlesnake
Rattlesnake carries one of the best neighborhood names in Tampa — a holdover from the rattlesnake cannery that once operated on the Interbay peninsula — and today it is one of South Tampa's most active pockets of renovation and infill construction. New two-story builds sit next to original bungalows and cottages, and both gain enormous curb appeal from a well-executed landscape lighting system. Convenient to Gandy, Westshore, and MacDill, it is a neighborhood where lighting investment shows up directly in how the house presents.
For new builds we plan around the architecture: facade grazing, in-grade uplights on vertical elements, and hidden pathway lighting at steps and entries. For renovated cottages we keep it simpler and warmer — a lit entry, two or three uplit trees, garden lighting through the front beds.
