About This Service Area
New Suburb Beautiful lives up to its name: laid out in the 1920s just inland of Bayshore Boulevard and adjacent to Hyde Park, it is a neighborhood of Colonial Revival and Mediterranean homes under oaks that arch fully across the street. Lighting here is about reverence for what already exists. Our landscape lighting designs highlight architectural detail and canopy structure while keeping fixture hardware effectively invisible in daylight.
The canopy comes first — tree uplighting set at the base of the oaks, aimed up through the limbs, gives the whole street depth. Then we graze the facade to bring out stucco, brick, and trim, define the entry, and run discreet pathway lighting along original walkways. Everything is warm 2700K to match the incandescent light these homes were designed around, and every fixture is aimed on site after dark rather than set from a plan.

Common Questions
Warm color temperature, low output, hidden sources, and selectivity. We light specific features — a columned entry, an arched window, a gable, the oaks — and let everything else recede. Flooding a historic facade is the fastest way to cheapen it.
Yes for the trees on your property. For trees in the public right-of-way we keep fixtures on your side of the line and aim across, which achieves the same canopy effect without encroaching.
Most systems here run $4,000 to $12,000. Larger estates with extensive canopy and detailed facades run higher; a focused entry-and-canopy package can start around $3,000.
Barely. We use small, dark-finished brass fixtures set low in beds, at tree bases, and against foundations. Most visitors never notice them until they are pointed out.
