Island Lighting Beside Downtown Tampa
Harbour Island is downtown Tampa's private island: a gated, walkable community of waterfront townhomes, condominiums, and single-family homes with the Riverwalk and Water Street minutes away. Outdoor spaces here are intimate rather than sprawling — courtyards, entry gardens, terraces, and pool decks — which makes lighting design a game of precision. Our landscape lighting plans for Harbour Island focus on getting a lot of atmosphere out of a small footprint.
In compact spaces the wrong fixture is immediately obvious, so we use small-aperture, tightly shielded brass fixtures, keep output low, and hide sources in planters, under stair treads, and behind architectural edges. Courtyards get warm outdoor living lighting and garden lighting; entries get subtle pathway lighting; and where a terrace faces the channel we keep everything glare-free so the skyline stays the main event.
