About This Service Area
Courier City and Oscawana sit right in the middle of the SoHo district, where Howard and Armenia avenues fill up on weekend evenings and residents can walk to dinner. The housing is a genuine mix: restored 1920s bungalows, skinny-lot new builds, and rows of contemporary townhomes. Lots are compact, which makes landscape lighting here a precision exercise — a handful of well-placed fixtures does more than a dozen scattered ones.
On bungalows we graze the porch columns and clapboard, uplight the one or two significant trees on the lot, and run low pathway lighting to the steps. On townhomes we work with what exists: entry courtyards, narrow side yards, and rooftop or ground-level terraces, using compact brass fixtures and hidden garden lighting sources. Warm 2700K light throughout keeps everything cohesive, and shielding keeps light off the neighbor's window — which matters when houses sit ten feet apart.

Common Questions
It works especially well. On a compact lot, three or four correctly aimed fixtures transform the whole property. The trick is restraint and shielding — overlighting a small yard is the most common mistake we are called in to fix.
Not with our designs. We use shielded fixtures with tight beam control and aim every one on site after dark, checking sightlines from the street and from adjacent properties.
Compact bungalow and townhome systems generally run $1,500 to $4,500 — meaningfully less than a large-lot project because the fixture count is lower.
Owners in townhome and condo communities usually can with HOA approval, and we supply the documentation boards ask for. For rentals you would need the owner's written consent first.
