Honoring the History of Old West Tampa
Old West Tampa grew up around the cigar industry, and the neighborhood still shows it: shotgun casitas, brick storefronts, and early-century cottages on a tight grid just west of downtown and the river. Lighting a home with this much history calls for a light touch. Our landscape lighting designs pick out the details that make these houses distinctive — porch posts, transoms, clapboard, brick — with warm, low-level light and hardware that stays out of sight.
Lots are narrow, so we shield tightly and aim carefully to keep light on your property. A typical plan includes a warmly lit porch and entry, grazing along the front elevation, one or two uplit shade trees, and low pathway lighting to the steps. Everything is brass or copper, hand-trenched to protect old foundations and root systems, and set to warm 2700K so the light suits the age of the house.
