About This Service Area
Gray Gables is one of Tampa's older platted neighborhoods, tucked between Kennedy Boulevard and the Westshore district, full of 1920s bungalows with deep porches, exposed rafter tails, and brick or block foundations. Details like these are the whole reason to light a historic home, and they are easy to get wrong. Our landscape lighting designs work with the architecture — grazing light along siding and brick to bring out texture, and soft column washes that define the porch without flattening it.
We keep hardware invisible: dark-finished, low-profile brass fixtures set into beds and against the foundation, cable hand-trenched to avoid disturbing established roots and old masonry. Add tree uplighting on the neighborhood's mature oaks and gentle pathway lighting to the porch steps, and a Gray Gables bungalow becomes one of the best-looking houses on the street after dark — with nothing to see during the day.

Common Questions
When it is designed for the house, yes. The goal is to reveal what is already there — porch columns, rafter tails, brickwork, the roofline — using warm light at modest levels. Nothing about a well-done system reads as modern.
No. We hand-trench near roots and foundations rather than machine-trenching, and we never anchor into original brick or stucco faces. Anything mounted to the building goes into mortar joints or existing trim.
Low-voltage landscape lighting generally does not require a permit — the system plugs into an existing exterior outlet and involves minimal ground disturbance. If your property sits in a historic overlay, we design to those guidelines.
Most bungalow systems here run $2,000 to $5,500 for the front of the house, including porch, facade, tree, and pathway lighting.
