Lighting Under the Oaks of Bayshore Beautiful
Bayshore Beautiful earned its name honestly. Running inland from Bayshore Boulevard between Bay to Bay and Sunset, it is a neighborhood of deep front lawns, brick-accented bungalows, and a live oak canopy that closes over the street. That canopy is the single best lighting opportunity in South Tampa, and tree uplighting is where most of our Bayshore Beautiful designs begin — narrow-beam fixtures set at the base of the oaks, throwing light up through the limbs and Spanish moss.
From there we layer: grazing light across brick and stucco facades, soft garden lighting through the beds, and low pathway lighting along the front walk so guests can find the door. Because so many homes here are original 1920s construction, we keep hardware discreet and finishes dark, and we use warm 2700K LEDs that read like incandescent light rather than the cold blue of hardware-store kits. Nothing about the system should be visible at noon.
